A student organization affiliated with the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. PPS was founded in 2005. During the summer of 2006 UNC medical students worked with faculty physicians in rural Mexico to administer cardiovascular and HIV screenings. The project also focused on preventative education. In the 2007 PPS is thriving under new leadership. The project is focused on providing CV screenings in rural communities. Updates will be ongoing throughout the summer so check back soon!
